Keyboard Player Needed
A couple of our choir members are in a praise band that plays for the Prime Timers group. They are looking for a keyboard player to serve with them. If you are interested, or know someone that may be, please leave a comment on this post, or call me at (864) 787-5425. Thanks.

Sunday
I thought that yesterday was a wonderful experience. I have carried the worship of Enough and All the Way My Savior Leads Me through the day and into this morning. Thanks for your selfless service. I never cease to be amazed at the "ego-less" way that you serve. It is one of the reasons that I think God has bigger things in store for us.

Carol
I spoke with Casey this afternoon. Carol is doing as well as can be expected right now. The pain from the surgery is still pretty tough to handle. Let's keep her in our prayers.
Dawn
Dawn Devor sent a note that I just saw. Her mom's house caught fire and burned down totally. She lost everything and one of her pets. She is living with her sister for the time being.
Dawn is out of work at the moment also.
Let's keep them in our prayers.

Jesus Led Me All The Way
OK Joe… you asked for it… I’m sorry this is a little long.
I have been enjoying a season of real blessings for a while now, but just a few years ago I was at a very low point. I felt like I was just barely making it from day to day. I cried a lot. I was desperate for God to show me his will. I felt like I didn’t have any peace. I came across some verses that became very precious to me. I read those verses every night for a while and they gave me a lot of hope and encouragement. It was like they expressed my heart’s cry.
Thankfully, that trial is in my past now. Earlier this week, I tried to find those verses again, but I couldn’t remember where they were. I gave up after a while, wondering why God didn’t bless me with a better memory. Then last night I was reading in Psalms… just following a cross reference from somewhere else on a word study I had started. I glanced to the opposite page and there they were… God is so good… He led me through that trial and He led me right back to those verses.
“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. “
Psalm 143:8-10
Like I said, that particular trial is thankfully in my past. I can look back now and say “Jesus led me all the way”. That brings me to my favorite song that we’re singing this Sunday... “All the Way my Savior Leads me” and to my favorite verse of that song that refers to all trials in past tense…
And when my spirit clothed immortal
Wings its flight to realms of day
This my song through endless ages
Jesus led me all the way.
Can’t wait to sing it with you guys!
Love y’all,
Sharyn

All You Need Are These 4 Chords
This is a cool video that demonstrates 36 hit songs that use the same chord progression ... Grab your guitar and try it ... use 6, 4, 1, 5, and repeat. You now have a hit song progression. All you have to do is write your hit lyrics.
(Disclaimer: There is one lyric phrase near the end of this video that you don't want your kids to hear. Just don't stop it before you get to 4 min 40 secs into the video and you'll be fine.)

He Leads Me
The song "All The Way My Savior Leads Me" has been cycling through my head today. The way that God leads is amazing. Don Chapman told me a remarkable story about how God led him when he was working on the Jeremy Camp song. You probably have stories of your own. I'd like to hear them. You can post them as comments to this blog post. Or you can share them with me on Sunday. Either way, I'll look forward to hearing how God has led you!

Prayer
Keep Larri in your prayers. Her grandfather is not expected to live long. Larri is flying to Kansas to be with her family. We should also keep Tim in our prayers.

What to wear
I woke up this morning looking forward to our rehearsal tonight. It is so much fun to be together. Tonight we'll be putting the finishing touches on the music for Sunday.
Steve has asked us to wear all black on Sunday. Apparently he loved the way that we looked in December. Besides ... we all look skinnier in black!! I like that.

Rehearsal Notes
It was great to be back together last night. It was also fun to see so many new faces. God is at work in our group and is growing us for his next "new thing." Greater things have yet to come ...
The main thing that I would like for you to do this week is to immerse yourself in the records of the songs on which we are working. Please know them thoroughly when you come to rehearsal next week. We'll still be learning parts next week; but it will be easier to learn them if you know the songs well in general. Please be sure you understand the song forms so that you can stay with the group as we move through each song.
It was a special treat to have Lenora's sister, Katrina, with us last night. I find the ministry that she and her husband have on the Amazon River absolutely amazing. You can find out more about their ministry by checking out their website at
