Katie B (alto): Please pray for Katie's mom (Joyce). She has just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer-metastasized to the liver. As you can imagine, this is extremely difficult for Katie. Please pray for her.

Two BIG things ...

It's time to sing again!!  This is going to be a fun year.  Please make note of these two things ...

HisRadio Summer Tour at Chik-Fil-A:  Please arrive Friday morning around 6:45 AM (you know you love getting up early!) and be ready to sing around 7:00 AM.  We'll be on deck until about 9:00 AM.  Wear something comfortable ... particularly your shoes.  Let's "Make Our Praise Public!"

First Choir Rehearsal:  We meet next Wednesday evening (Aug. 24) at 6:00 PM to kick off the Fall season of praise.  It will be an awesome time together.  HOLY SMOKERS will be cooking dinner for us.  There is no charge for the meal, but we will take a collection to help cover the cost.  BE SURE TO REGISTER ONLINE for this rehearsal.  That way we'll know how much food to fix.  Click this link to get to the online registration page:  http://my.brookwoodchurch.org/default.aspx?page=3361&eventId=5378.  If you have trouble with this, just email me, or give me a call, or post a comment here.  I'll get you registered the old fashioned way.  :-)

One Body and One Spirit

Hi Gang, Just a quick blog post to tell you guys I’m really looking forward to being together again for our new choir season. One thing about our music ministry that has always impressed me is the way we continuously change and grow. Our choir truly feels like a living, breathing thing. Let’s pray for God to continue to shape and grow us into something useful for His kingdom. Pray for His direction in every aspect and that we will honor Him with all we do.

Most of you are familiar with Sandy Patti. She is the most-awarded female vocalist in contemporary Christian music history. I just wanted to post this little story that she shares about grace.
